You can provide as proof of competent English if you are a citizen of the following countries:

  • – United Kingdom
  • – United States of America
  • – Canada
  • – New Zealand
  • – Republic of Ireland

NOTE: British National (Overseas) passports are not acceptable as evidence of competent English.

NOTE: For subclasses 189, 190, 489, and 491, if you are claiming partner points then your partner must have competent of English at the time of invitation.
