Permanent residence through an Australian employer.
186 is permanent residence nominated by an employer. Three ways in: Direct Entry, Temporary Residence Transition after an eligible 482, or a labour agreement. Skills assessment, English, age and the nomination all have to line up. Direction 122 (not 121) sets visa processing order after you lodge.

Direct Entry, TRT and labour agreement are different tests. Mixing them is how nominations fail.

A suitable skills assessment is commonly required for Direct Entry. TRT looks at the time and work on the 482.

186 is a permanent visa. The nomination still has to have been genuine.
Leaving the nominating employer the next week is how the Department later asks questions. Plan the employment, not only the grant.

Things that go wrong
- TRT is not automatic after a 482. Time, occupation and the employer all have to fit.
- Direct Entry usually needs a skills assessment. A 482 grant is not that assessment.
- Age, English and caveats still apply. Direction 122 does not waive them.
