This temporary visa allows a parent of an Australian citizen, Australian permanent resident, or eligible New Zealand citizen to visit Australia for up to 3 or 5 years. It does not lead to permanent residence and has specific conditions.
Purpose: To reunite with children and visit Australia for an extended period.
Duration: Up to 3 or 5 years per visa.
Reapplication: You can reapply for further Sponsored Parent (Temporary) visas to visit for a maximum of 10 years in Australia.
Employment: You cannot work in Australia while holding this visa.
Visa Costs: AUD5,735 for up to 3 years or AUD11,470 for up to 5 years.
Payment: The visa fee is divided into two installments.
