This course gives students who are enrolled in the Western Sydney University Bachelor of Medicine/ Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) the opportunity to take leave of absence from the normal medical course for 12 months full time or 24 months part time, after successfully completing years 1 and 2 of MBBS, in order to gain a more detailed experience in medical research than is provided in the normal medical course.
